It’s Friday and time for a fun and tasty adventure! The 626 Night Market is not a weekly event like a farmers market so this a big event for the vendors showcasing their food or items to sell.

Friday night out to the 696 Night Market in Arcadia, California!
Brian and Christina
After walking around through the vendors out front, we walked through the gates and into the food vendors area and picked up some drinks as we make our around to find what we want to eat. I ordered a red bull vodka while Christina got the margarita! These drinks were refreshing and really opened up our appetites!

The first thing we ordered was the Cumin Lamb skewers at the XiaoLan Sichuan Kitchen! The lamb was so tender and flavorful! It had the right amount of the Sichuan spice! We could of had more of this but we wanted to save room for other goodies that we’re about to have!

We walked by this little gem and had to walk back! These TacoYaki shells were made entirely of cheese & there was no way we were going to skip this! We ordered the soft-shell crab taco! It was topped with peppers, tomatoes, onions, and mangos!

First bite in was so flavorful! The slightly burnt cheese with the mango salsa and soft-shell crab had a great crunch and juiciness all in one bite!

As the night came over the event there were more people, off work and here for the great eats! We noticed most of the food vendors had two locations on either side of the grounds to help ease up the lines and get more exposure.

Next up, we had the wagyu ramen burger from Rated R Burger! Neither of us have ever tried it so we decided this will be the perfect time!

The waygu beef was really juicy and flavorful! I normally take out the tomato in burgers but in this burger, I didn’t mind it because it paired so well with the beef, cheese, and greens! The ramen burger “buns” were cooked and grilled perfectly! It wasn’t crispy or hard, it was soft and chewy, unraveled at times but not entirely, like you’re eating dry noodles, but it kept it’s round stature until the end. This was the best thing we had there! We’re getting 2 next time!

Walking throughout the market, there were several fermented tofu vendors. The smell was very strong and not pleasant for those who never had this dish or doesn’t like this dish. I’ve had this dish before but it’s not something I would eat again. Christina grew up eating fermented tofu, she loves it. She said the “stinkier” it is, the better it tastes! Here’s how we looked like every time we walked by a fermented tofu vendor! Ha!

We met up with Christina’s friend and husband and they this piece of food artwork from Four Seasons Steakhouse!

Their 2-GO handler is so awesome! The tray of delicious food is perfectly stacked on top of the cup filled with a beverage of your choice. You can walk, drink, & drink while holding this without any hassle! There’s even a fork holder!

For dessert, Christina said we have to get Hong Kongnese waffles with ice cream. Since this was my first time having this, we ordered the original flavored waffle with green tea ice cream!

This piece of art was so good! The waffle was soft, warm, and buttery! A bite of this with cold green tea ice cream, it was a party in my mouth!

On our way out, we walked by the main entertainment stage and a DJ was playing music while people were dancing and some were just sitting and laying in the lawn across the way enjoying the night!

There were definitely more food vendors that we wanted to try! We’ll be back 626 Night Market!
