MY SPRING TIME GARDEN FLOWERS
It’s Spring Time and that means the flowers are blooming and bees are buzzing. My house has a large wrap-around backyard and raised flower bed so I take advantage of this. I have a decent mixture of garden vegetables and flowers sprinkled around the area. The front walk way is just ground cover flowers and little maintenance. I just snapped a bunch of pictures to share and hope you enjoy 🙂
In the back yard I have several rose bushes that I do not prune too much and let them do their thing. Plenty of water and fertilizer to help them grow huge. The larger roses get to be about the size of a softball.
In a corner of my backyard I have a desert theme with cactus and rocks to give it that feel of California and Vegas. From the suculates to the California Poppies the area is nice and protected by a rock gnome.
My cactus and aloe plants were starting to bloom as well!
The back fence is covered by two giant bougainvillea bushes that I have carved arches into for seating and general safety from the thorns. Just like the front area the back has a sprinkling of Sweet Alyssum that I am having spread and cover. Yep it is party time somewhere and that is my “5’o-clock soomewere” gnome next to some of my mint for my mojitos.
