ARLINGTON GARDEN IN PASADENA – MEDITERRANEAN GARDEN
Going out to Mother Nature is too far and I don’t have the time to go camping. Most people that live in the city say that and know nature is a great way to get away from the stresses of the city. That is where the Arlington Garden is perfect since it is in the middle of Pasadena, CA.

This is the more beautiful entrance to the garden and the others along the street are more subtle. There is no fee to enter which is great and allows everyone in the city to come in and explore the area.
There are many sections of the garden and the desert section has inspired me to plant more succulents and cactus in my own garden at home. Here there are so many different types of succulents and some very old one too!
The garden is covered in several crisscrossing paths that open up to some large areas for a grand view that is filled with butterflies.
Another section of the garden is a citrus grove to remind guests of the farming past of Southern California. Walking through an orange grove smells amazing.
The paths open up to hiding spots for people to take a break and relax with nature all around them.
Throughout the year there are plants and flowers in bloom. Butterflies and honey bees are always here but more focused on getting nector than getting in the way of us humans.
Like the last hiding spot shown the other courtyards are large and make you feel like you are in a Mediterranean villa or garden with the fountains and potted plants overflowing. The Mediterranean theme is what the creators were going for according to some of the signs.
This is a great spot for a picnic and there are many secluded spots for a lunch with friends. Make sure to pick you your trash after being here.
Many beautiful sights at this garden and plenty of places to sit and really admire the surroundings. Come by and check out this place and bring your friends or at least share this nature blog!
