KACTUS KATE’S SALOON – COTTONWOOD, AZ
After dinner in Sedona, we wanted to get drinks at cute little dive bar in Cottonwood. We stopped by Kactus Kate’s for a couple of drinks and mingled with other vacation goers. Who are we kidding, we really wanted to check it out because it’s called Kactus Kate’s! The drive was only less than 20 mins from Sedona, we had to check it out!
The bartender made me a pretty damn good Old Fashioned with Basil Hayden’s bourbon. It was the first time I had Basil Hayden’s and I’m a fan now. Brian ordered a Crown Royal with a splash of their homemade ginger beer. It was a great blend!
The night was still young and by our 2nd drinks, the bar seats were filled from one end to the other! There were a lot of locals in for a drink and there were tourists like us just enjoying the night. The bar is pretty big and spacious. Behind us are pool tables and a stage for bands. There was no band playing the night we were there but I can only imagine how fun and lively it is when they do!
