ARCTURUS AIRSOFT UNBOXING! CENTAUR A & B, SR16, AR15 AND PDW
Got the big box of the rifles sent in by Arcturus to do an Unboxing video first and then the follow up in depth reviews and gearbox review. As mentioned int he video one or more of these rifles will be given away for other reviewers and or you our fans! So with that being said please share this blog and video and keep your friends in the loop.
Lets get started on the unboxing video and here are some close up shots that go with the video which will be posted below. Here are the smaller parts in the little bags in the boxes. A closer look to see what we will get.
The flip up back up sights will be a mix of styles that pop up when pressed or have a low profile to keep the rifle sleek looking. My favorite will be the angled sights which came with the Arcturus PDW allowing the user to have a red dot optic and still use a back up irons for snap shooting.
The Centaur A which uses a M4 lower and the SR16 model come with a MagPul styled pistol grip and the extra pieces to make it a slim grip or an added palm swell that slides in and out of place easily. The front section can give the user the option of a finger groove or not. Options like this make it better for the user and saves them money in long run instead of buying a new pistol grip.
In the boxes there were several small parts included as I mentioned and here are some of them from the Arcturus SR16 box. The bag of spare parts includes a spare magazine release based off the VFC style while the release in the rifle presently is based off the Tokyo Marui.

The other small parts are the main selector switch with the screw and detent, the body pin and the dust cover latch and housing along with the needed springs. You get everything extra which you might break or lose during an upgrade and instead of being out of luck and not playing that weekend since the local store or website hasn’t shipped you have them in the box as an extra.
The front end of the Arcturus SR16, AR15 and PDW use a light weight aluminum hand guard using a M-Lok system which is the current future of rifles, any “new” rifles released now with a slotted quad rail are just out of touch. Underneath the M-Lok is the fake gas block and tube for an added touch of realism.
The Arcturus SR16 uses full ambidextrous features as shown here and demoed in the video. The ambi bolt release has a nice crisp feel and does not feel weak or cheap. The selectors did not have extra play and wiggle which is a good thing since AEG’s with ambi selectors can wiggle too much.
The Arcturus Centaur B which is based off an AK base sort of but much more than that. This rifle has some great features the AK users all want and love such as a Spring Tention Release that most people have not seen or heard of for an AK model that is hidden near the trigger.
The front end of the Arcturus Centaur B is a big chunk of metal and must be heavy but it is not and actually balanced which will make the players happy. Using standard rails an some M-Lok to keep it steamline and light weight the Centaur B has a great look overall.
The front end of the Arcturus Centaur A is another hybrid of parts and design to make for a sleek look that is not front heavy and that was the first thing checked in the video, the balance point. The folding charging handle is a nice touch since the AK and SCAR rifles with the handle sticking out can get in the way.
The steel flash hiders were shipped together and not sure which goes to which 100% for the KX3 version will go to the Arcturus PDW since the picture shows that and it makes sense. The flash hiders are nicely cut and dipped to prevent rusting. The attention to detail by including the washer and rubber o-ring to correctly clock the muzzle is a nice touch.
Those are all the close up shots of the little parts and there is much more in the entire video.
Please make sure you give the video a LIKE and SHARE for the new products coming out soon!
